Sensor Cleaning liquid Evaporation Speed Test
Sensor Cleaning liquid Evaporation Speed Test
ccd vs cmos
In this video we test the evaporation rates of four popular sensor filter cleaner liquids, Eclipse*, E2*, Ultra Clean* and Sensor Clean*. This test demonstrates which liquid has the fastest evaporation speed. This is important due to the fact that less time means less chance of the liquid seeping between the sensor filter frame and the CCD/CMOS sensor. Start your engines… and get ready to race. *Eclipse is a trademark of Photographic Solutions *E2 is a trademark of Photographic Solutions *Ultra Clean is a trademark of Dust-Aid *Sensor Clean is a trademark of Visible Dust

LensPen Review
ccd vs cmos

Finally! I’m back here after almost a month of not making a video. Besides that, in this video, I give you guys a review of the LensPen. It allows you to clean the lens of your dSLR, point-and-shoot, camera phone, and just about almost any type of camera lens. Look at the video to hear more about it. Thanks for watching. @VonHobbit My fault, forgot to cut them. But all is well right now.
What’s with the long fingernails?
@MaLDJoHsimy951 Same thinking here! It seems as if they expect that the product is going to be a huge market success even though it has a few (sarcasm) flaws.
Hey, if it’s too good to be true, then don’t buy it!
@iSpinify I’m always baffled as to how products can make it to market with such glaring problem like the problem we’ve experienced. Are there no QC people to say “hey, this thing has some obvious flaws, are we definitely sure its okay to release it on the market for sale now as it is?” I just don’t understand. Well, next time I’m not buying anything just because I receive a promotional discount coupon in the mail.
@MaLDJoHsimy951 Same situation here. Like I said, they MIGHT have some quality control issues with their LensPens.
@iSpinify According to the manufacturer of the lenspen you do not need anything else like the micro fiber cloth or anything else. Lenspen is made and advertised as a product that does it all. But in my case thats proven not to be true from couple of month of using this product.
Whatever a person has to clean that is expensive or not I wouldnt recommend using the brush part of the lenspen. Like you said I like the back part of the lenspen, the part that cleans the finger print and the oil. But I am not satisfied at all with the brush. It left quite a bit of scratch on one of my lens filter. It was an inexpensive filter that I got free anyway so there was nothing to worry about. However, if it was something expensive that would have been a whole different story.
Great video, I just bought one. So would you reccomend not using the brush and just the other end?
@MultiJohnnyBravo Thanks for the input! Highly appreciate it.
CARBON NOT GRAPHITE
Yup! But I haven’t used it for a while though; all of my pictures are pretty beginnerish
you got an flickr account?
Nice! I use a very similar system to that as yours.
LOL….I NEVER use the LENS PEN “brush” side on glass but sometimes I use it to clean the outer part of the UV filter. I use the brush side to dust off particles on the “body” of my cameras. I always use micro fiber cloths and little bit of 70% rubbing alcohol for my glass.
Cool! Thanks for sharing and letting me know!
ok… but the proper method is to use a blower to remove loose particles, then the brush… and if needed the graphite-pen
@TheNerfy Ah, but you see here, I had specifically followed the directions from LensPen themselves. Never remebered them stating that you were to use a microfiber cloth.
“Cloths often ignore….” (from their video)
Either or, I’m sure your system is better, but I was just trying to follow their directions at fist.
you know why it scratches? you’re supposed to use a blower to remove sand and loose particles first, THEN use the brush if needed. What you do when you brush first is drag sand and dust around the lens…
Hmm. Interesting view. It’s just really odd that the goat hair brush doesn’t work.
The lenspen is great for me. I won’t go anywhere without it. The goat hair brush isn’t scratching my lens, so i’m not sure whats wrong with yours. And lenspen makes and distributes all of them, the Carson logo on it was only added on later — they have Henry’s lenspens, Nikon lenspens etc., they’re all just branded.
Thanks for the comment! Always nice to help out people and give reviews!
great review! really honest review! thanks!
MAYBE you could try that.
but it also says camcorders, monitors,cd dvd ect
Hmmm. You COULD try that. But I’m not too sure if the “CD spray” will work well with the lens (it could eat the coating off the lens).
